Yesterday we had friends for dinner. Usually I go to the internet for recipe ideas, but I decided to use an actual cookboook, in this case Dorie Greenspan's "Around My French Table." Marie-Helene's Apple Cake looked delicious, with lots of apples and not much else, so that's what I chose. And it turned out pretty well, with only a few pieces of apple stuck to the springform pan when I opened it. We all enjoyed it, but try as we might, the four of us could only eat half the cake.
So this morning for breakfast I had apple cake with cottage cheese. The cottage cheese for protein, although what about those eggs? For lunch I had apple cake with yogurt. Again, the protein. And there's just enough left for dinner.
That's it. If you know, you know.
